JUNE 27, 2014: SCHOOLGIRLS AND MOBILESUITS (SGMS) 
SCHOOLGIRLS AND MOBILESUITS: CULTURE AND CREATION IN MANGA AND ANIME (SGMS) is an academic conference dedicated to the understanding of manga and anime, which communicates with and presents the work of anime/manga artists, authors, publishers, and academics. SGMS’ audience is a diverse combination of anime and manga students, academics, and industry professionals.

For Minnesota Opera's production of Madame Butterfly, the Tempo program hosted Cio-Cio Sassy, a night of fashion and art inspired by the iconic play. Curated by Grant Whittaker. More details at: citypages.com.

SEPTEMBER 30, 2011: SCHOOLGIRLS AND MOBILESUITS (SGMS): 6TH ANNUAL FULL FASHION PANIC!
The mission of this fashion show was to visually explore the connections between anime/manga/pop culture and fashion and to introduce alternative, indie, and up-and-coming designers to the community and fashion industry. This was a showcase of street fashion capsule collections inspired by Japanese street styles.
Showcased mini collection F/W 2012 “Vorzeitig.”

MAY 23, 2011: CAMP GAGA
Lady Gaga inspired Costume design contest in Saint Paul, MN. Reviewed at missshannan.com. 
Designed and created a dress.

MAY 14, 2011: A DESIGNER’S METROPOLIS (ST. CATHERINE UNIVERSITY KATWALK)
Katwalk is the culmination of everything the fashion students learn over the course of their program. Students are responsible for every aspect of the show, including event planning, promotion, creating the designs and hiring photography and modeling talent.
Showcased senior collection “A Murder of Crows.” Planned, organized, and coordinated show.
